Hello, I'm an Italian high school teacher and a published writer. I have studied Literature and languages in Italy, UK and France and I have a long experience in tutoring students. I adapt my classes depending upon the specific needs of my students, depending on their knowledge and goals. I generally dedicate part of the class to teach grammar in an interactive way, following a book and proposing exercise I create myself to the students. Then I dedicate part of the class to the conversation, so that listening and speaking skills of the student can improve. If the student is at an intermediate or advanced level, I give them more insight about the evolution of Italian language, making reference to Latin and to Italian literature. To make the class more interesting, I often talk about Italian culture related to language.

My experience as a private Italian language tutor began after graduating from college. I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
