At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. Composition is one of most exam boards requirements for GCSE and A-level Music. In particular, to write a piece ranging from 2 - 3 minutes in length for either solo or chamber groups of instruments. I am majoring in composition at university and I specialise in tutoring music for students taking GCSE and/or A-level, having studied and taken these A-levels through the AQA Exam specification. Composition may appear overwhelming and it is my aim that my students will be able to find the beauty in writing music and being able to cope with the stresses of writing music; by equipping them with both the necessary skills of writing music, but also how to push through the various challenges that come with it (And perhaps most importantly, how to achieve excellent marks for your coursework)! Singing lessons are not only an opportunity to learn singing and something new about music but also an opportunity to express emotions, forget about everyday worries, and have fun! Through music theory lessons you can learn about the structure of music and also develop some very useful music skills such as reading music (sight-singing or sight-reading). All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome! Different options for lessons that I am offering are described below and all of them can be modified and adjusted according to the wishes and needs of the student: SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing. SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style. My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes. SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons) Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.) SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults) In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education. MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons) Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student. COMBINED SOLFEGGIO AND SINGING LESSONS Combined solfeggio and singing lessons are also possible for adults, as separate subjects or integrated with singing lessons. In both cases, the duration of each lesson is 90 minutes and the program is discussed and created based on the wishes and needs of the student.
