Learning creative process from a real artist (drawing and/or painting)

Nuno Saxophone Studio opened in 2021, as a personal company in the industrial dutch city of Tilburg. Already more than 20 students and professionals from all levels and ages (7-70) trust Nuno to help them to reach their optimize playing. The studio is a safe space to learn and to discover your trues artistic expression, Nuno relies on more than 15 years of pedagogical experience! By being part of this studio you have the opportunity to work on solo skills as well create your own combo and ensemble, playing in our student concerts. The lessons can be used for personal leisure as a hobby, preparing for a concert, masterclasses, workshop, competition, HaFaBra exams or even conservatorium audition. He's the organizer of the festival Tilburg Sax Summit.

Drawing often seems intimidating for the fact that once you start drawing, you are expected to soon be advanced, skilful and know how to do figure, technical, academical drawing. One of the most important things that I learned through the process of drawing, painting, sketching, is how to relax your body and mind to transfer your soul onto paper, canvas, how to let your curiosity, imagination intertwine with the blissful nature of art. I want to encourage people to seek their own inner voice rather than to copy what's already been done, what I have struggled with for years, even during my lessons in an art school. I want to encourage people to let go of comparing themselves, their skills, abilities, motivation to others and find the pure beauty in passion and love. To free what we often suppress.

If you've watched sketchbook tour videos and wished you could get into the habit of creating regularly, this course is for you. I will teach you how to create the book itself, meaning you never have to be hindered by not having a place to start. Then, we'll explore a variety of ways to make your mark on each page, building your knowledge and understanding of the visual elements. Lessons are one hour and online. Any age and experience is welcome. I am a qualified art & design teacher for secondary age students in Scotland, and a first class graduate (with honours) from The University of Edinburgh Fine Art programme.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

This class supports students who wish to enter the world of drawing or improve their drawing practice in the classical tradition. Students will learn to take a slow, thoughtful, methodical approach to observing light and form and depicting it on a surface using principles of shape, proportion and tone, and a balance of optical and conceptual knowledge. This class is suitable for beginner students who want to explore a new method of drawing, and also for those who are already familiar with drawing and wish to refine their skills.

My name is Anita, and I am an interdisciplinary neurodivergent artist. I combine traditional and unconventional teaching methods with an innovative approach, adapted to the fast-paced era we live in, where attention spans can be short. My teaching integrates principles of psychology to better understand each student’s unique needs and aspirations. My goal is to nurture visionary children who have strong foundational values and a humble sense of self. I believe that true artistic mastery comes from human excellence. I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don't always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity.
