The Piano Studio of Michael offers private piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities in the Vienna area. Michael teaches from his home in the 12th district, Meidling, or can travel to your home for lessons. Under Michael's teaching, students will study proper piano technique and musicianship in a creative and fun way. Lessons are catered to the goals of each student - whether you are itching to play the latest pop song or a nocturne by Chopin! No matter the style of music, emphasis is always placed on proper technical skills and correct posture in addition to development of aural and reading skills. Michael is a 25-year-old native of Santa Barbara, California. He began studying piano at the age of 7 and fell in love with the instrument! He earned his bachelors of music in Piano Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and his Masters of Music in Piano Accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music in London. He continues his studies with Julius Drake in Lieder performance at the Kunstuniversität in Graz and works in Vienna as a freelance pianist with singers while giving recitals throughout Europe and the United States. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions.
