I offer private piano lessons to students of different ages and levels. Depending on the student's final goal we adjust the repertoire and skills that are needed for obtaining the goal. My goal as a teacher is to keep and increase the students' love for music as well as to offer necessary and appropriate knowledge/skills to keep the student challenged.

Composition is hard to define and is by no means limited to one particular style or genre. Our meetings would provide a framework and the context for you to delve deeper into your chosen ideas and creations. As well as composition, I am able to assist you with music theory, ear training, piano and general musicianship. I plan my lessons individually and orientate myself towards your goals. Whether you want to create a Bach fugue or a new single for your EDM album, I would be there to support your stylistic decisions.

I studied piano performance (Pre-College, Bachelor’s and Master’s) at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg and graduated with honors. Since 2016 I have been increasingly focusing on my pedagogical activity. Whether you are a beginner or you’re more experienced, everybody is welcome, regardless of age. In my teaching, my main goal is to help you find joy in making music, develop a healthy, efficient technique and a deeper understanding of the way music works. I am generally very flexible/adaptive and I try to support my students in making consistent progress and reaching their own individual goals. I'm Ed, an English musician studying a Master's course in composition here in Vienna. I've been teaching piano and guitar for two years now, having played both for over 14 years! I completed my Bachelor's degree in music (2022) in Liverpool, UK, and received the highest grade: first class honours. I love music and have a great passion to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm to as many people as I can! I have two years experience of teaching both children and adults in different styles: coaching some students to passing classical piano exams, while teaching others simply how to play their favourite pop songs as well as working on general technique. I have even been helping some students write their own songs, since this is actually my main strength as a musician and one of the things I find most fulfilling about music.
