Hello! My name is Denisse and I am a Spanish teacher. Spanish is my native language, I have 10 years of experience teaching it and I love it! I like to teach taking into account the objectives, desires and personality of my students. One of the methodologies that I like to use the most in teaching Spanish is the communicative approach, since it combines learning grammar with practice through oral interaction simulating real everyday situations. Even so, I believe that all the methods are useful and I use them all according to the circumstances and the students, therefore, we will use the communicative approach but also the traditional one of grammar, translation and repetition, among others. I am a Cambridge-educated social scientist with extensive experience in the education sector and international communications. Trained as a journalist and academic, I possess a specialised command of the Spanish language and grammar. My transdisciplinary training and my knowledge of various educational systems, given my teaching work in Canada, Chile and the United Kingdom, allows me to provide a comprehensive vision to each student and adapt to multiple scenarios and needs. Dear student/Querido alumno My name is Denise I’m a Mexican Spanish as Foreign Language tutor (ELE Español Lengua Extranjera as acronym) certified by "Escuela Internacional Cervantes" with a Bachelor in Spanish Literature by the University of Nuevo León Mexico (UANL). I started teaching and tutoring Spanish at a very young age helping my colleagues from High School achieve better scores and later I formalize this activity while finishing my university studies. For the last seven years, I’ve been teaching Spanish in America and Europe to a broad variety of students: children/teenage tutoring, in-company adult students, online orientation and freelance translation for diverse projects.
