Trusted teacher: At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. Openness, joy, dedication, creativity and passion for music are some of the things that you will find in the international environment of my studio. I care about who my students are and what they have to say to the world, and I will help them to develop it from the very first lesson. In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. Hope you can join and if so, I’ll be very happy to teach you!

I suggest you improve your saxophone and music practice by focusing on learning melody by ear and developing improvisation. As for instrumental technique, I can teach you how to place your fingers properly to develop your virtuosity, to have a tonic air column and a good embouchure to develop your sound and to work on articulation to improve your phrasing. All this is acquired little by little by playing specific exercises and solos, pieces or saxophone studies. Through learning the instrument I also suggest you develop your musical qualities which are essential to progress and have fun playing. By learning and memorizing melodies or solos by ear, you develop your ear, your sense of rhythm and your memory. Free improvisation allows you to develop your inner singing and your musical personality. Finally, working with a metronome or directly on recordings will help you improve your rhythmic ear. All this is aimed at allowing the greatest possible freedom with one's instrument as well as the development of a personal aesthetic. I started learning the saxophone at the conservatory 7 years ago. I started with jazz then curiosity pushed me to study classical saxophone for 3 years before specializing in tenor and jazz. I had many saxophone teachers (Eric Barret, Pascal Gaubert, Sylvain Rifflet, Sylvain Cathala...) and today I have a bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory with Fabrice Alleman and Manu Hermia. I have played the saxophone in many different contexts, often in jazz in small groups or in a Big Band, in classical solo or in a quartet and also with pop groups on stage or in the studio. I have always loved passing on what I have learned, so I have been teaching beginners/amateurs for 4 years, always with the aim of developing the pleasure of playing and regularity of practice.

Trusted teacher: Welcome to my introduction site! My name is Marta and music has been a great love and passion for my entire life. Singing lessons are not only an opportunity to learn singing and something new about music but also an opportunity to express emotions, forget about everyday worries, and have fun! Through music theory lessons you can learn about the structure of music and also develop some very useful music skills such as reading music (sight-singing or sight-reading). All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome! Different options for lessons that I am offering are described below and all of them can be modified and adjusted according to the wishes and needs of the student: SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing. SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style. My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes. SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons) Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.) SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults) In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education. MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons) Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student. COMBINED SOLFEGGIO AND SINGING LESSONS Combined solfeggio and singing lessons are also possible for adults, as separate subjects or integrated with singing lessons. In both cases, the duration of each lesson is 90 minutes and the program is discussed and created based on the wishes and needs of the student. (A combination of individual singing lessons and a group solfeggio lesson is also possible.*) AUDITION TRAINING AND PREPARATION FOR EXAMS (individual lessons) Preparation for auditions concerning singing and/or music theory includes preparation for entrance exams, regular exams on conservatories, or preparation for ABRSM exams. *Please, contact me for more information about group lessons. Prices per person in group lessons are much lower than prices for individual lessons. If you have any further questions, please, do not hesitate to contact me... I will be happy to answer all your questions!

Hello! My name is Orestis, I come from Cyprus and I am 27 years old. I am passionate about teaching, and one of the greatest joys of my professional career is watching my students flourish. I have been playing the piano for 20 years now and have over 7 years in teaching the piano. My goal is to make the piano lessons fun and enjoyable while also incorporating all the necessary elements, such as theory, music history and sight-reading, to create a well rounded musical education. I am experienced with exam preparations (ABRSM) and music school admissions exams, but I prefer to create my own curriculum to fit each student’s specific needs and aspirations. I studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK (BA) and at the Liszt Academy of Music, HU (MA). I have performed extensively as a solo and chamber musician and I had the joy to collaborate with various orchestras. My greatest joy in music is collaborating and creating music together with other musicians, and this is why I am now pursuing the Specialized Piano Chamber Music Master’s at ZHdK. Music can be learned at any age! A jazz piano and contemporary music teacher with a state diploma from Pôle Sup' 93, I give lessons for young, medium or old of all levels. I am also a composer and arranger. I teach at rue Marceau (tram Maryse Bastié or metro Pierre et Marie Curie). Whether you are a complete beginner, classically trained, or an advanced self-taught person, my courses are for you. I adapt my program according to the strengths, weaknesses and needs of each person: -work of jazz, pop, rock, funk standards... -learning and deciphering chords, scales, modes, voicings... -improvisation work -piano technique exercises -harmony/music theory - deciphering scores -work on rhythm and ear -MAO, music production -composition and arrangements This program is flexible depending on your profile and your priorities, which we will define together during the first lesson and then throughout the year and your progress. To get started or review the basics needed for all styles (classical, jazz, contemporary music, etc.), I recommend the Piano Safari method that I have been using successfully with my students for several years now. It comes in 3 versions: -Piano Safari Friends from 4 to 6 years old -Piano Safari from 6 to 10 years old -Piano Safari for the older student for teens and adults. --- NEW FOR THE SEPTEMBER BACK TO SCHOOL: GROUP CLASSES Collective workshop 6 hands For whom: children (6 to 10 years old), 3 students Level: beginners Duration: 45 min When: every week (Tuesday evening or Wednesday, time to be defined together) The students work together around a single piano, alternating between times when each student plays alone in turn and phases of collective playing with 6 hands. The program of the two workshops is based on a modern and fun American method: Piano Safari. It provides both the learning of music theory and reading as well as the acquisition of the fundamentals of piano technique through a varied repertoire (classical, traditional music, blues, etc.) of progressive difficulty. Learning is done in a balanced way between written approach (reading of score) and oral approach (imitation of the teacher). It also provides an introduction to improvisation. Most of the pieces are designed to be accompanied by the teacher and mp3s are provided for work on site and at home. Demonstration videos to watch at home are also provided to facilitate learning of the pieces learned orally.

Would you like to learn to play the violin? Violin lessons for everyone! (Ixelles-Elsene)
Paula
I am extremely pleased with the lessons Paula gaves. I feel extremely lucky to have met her and to be able to be taught by her. She is a very nice and kind person, very open and knows how to communicate well. She gives great advice, is really attentive, plays amazingly and every lesson with her is just pure joy. She really makes it easy and very understandable for everyone, even someone like me, who didn't know how to play violin at all.

Carole is a wonderful piano teacher. She makes an effort to get to know you and your knowledge of the piano and music theory so that she can give you the best experience of learning the instrument. She is very flexible when it comes to what you want to learn, if there is a piece of music you endeavour to learn, she'll do everything that you achieve it. I've just had my first lesson and I can't wait for the next ones.
