I worked in a language school and at universities, and I suppose I gained success. 😀 I have been teaching Turkish professionally for 14 years. I also taught Turkish for 4 years when I was a university student. I learned Ottoman Turkish at the university, so I'm familiar with Persian and Arabic vocabulary. I also studied Persian, German, and Italian grammar. I completed my master's degree in Ottoman history and spent a semester as an Erasmus student at the Turkish Studies Department of Leiden University. I am interested in literature, cinema and TV series (nowadays Korean). Me as a Teacher: I hold firm to two main principles: providing a comfortable environment and creating an encouraging atmosphere. My students always tell me that I am patient, positive and well-organized. I have developed an aptitude for making learning Turkish much easier, more efficient and practical. I am following a class with Başak to learn turkish. The lessons are held in english. This course covers pronunciation, grammar and free speaking which are also adapted to daily life situations as well as speaking about yourself. I have experienced a very well organized and structured teacher on a professional basis. The teacher gives clear instructions, pays attention to the pronunciation and corrects you when needed, which is crucial for the turkish pronunciation. The course fees contain the tuition as booked and course material as the class is accompanied by a book (workbook and exercise book) and audio files. The books are sent to you in advance, makes it very convenient to take a print out or as a digital version on your tablet/PC/phone. Between the lessons homework will be assigned and checked by her via mail and discussed in the next lesson. So far, I am very happy with the lessons and I am also confident that I will improve my turkish steadily in the future with her. Thanks

My private violin lesson with Ester was absolutely perfect. I had a privilege to hear Ester play her violin and she is so good- it is crazy to think I was able to learn from her. She is also such a good teacher. Full of knowlege and patience- which is, in my opinion, a rare combination. I had no prior musical education and this was my first real music lesson. Ester managed to teach me basic note reading, correct violin holding and even playing my first tunes. Her explainations are very clear and easy to understand. And her approach is very friendly. She is also a very nice person and easy to talk to. I wish we lived in the same city so I could keep studying playing violin with Ester- that's how good she is. Lidia

Irma
Irma is a great teacher. Everything is well organized in each session. We have fun during the class, so learning dutch with her is not boring. She pays extra attention to the pronunciation and corrects me when I'm wrong. This is very helpful to learn the pronunciation correctly from the beginning since changing it later needs much more effort. Irma is also very flexible with timing and content of the course. I am completely happy with my private classes.
