“Please keep your style: I really love it!” (Lang Lang, after I played Liszt’s Wild Hunt for him) Diplomas (from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot): - Higher Concert Diploma (Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste) - Pedagogy certificate (Certificat de Pédagogie) - Higher teaching diploma (Diplôme Supérieur d'Enseignement) For several years I have been giving piano lessons to children and adults, beginners (who have never played the piano) and advanced students (who want to study professionally). It is about learning a piece effectively and quickly, acquiring good technique, and understanding the theory. I value your goals and expectations, and I enjoy teaching! Prices (in 2024): - 3rd Prize in the international competition Pianissima international (Category: Prestissimo; Jury President: Cyprien Katsaris) - 3rd prize in the international competition Opus Artis - 2nd Prize in the Léopold Bellan Competition, special award for Rachmaninoff I've given several concerts in France, Belgium, and Greece. I've also performed on French television (France 5). I had the opportunity to audition for Lang Lang in a masterclass at the Salle Cortot in Paris; Lang Lang praised my performance of Liszt's Wild Hunt: "Please keep your style: I really love it!" I studied at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot with Michael Wladkowski and Guigla Katsarava. I studied harmony and counterpoint with the composer Stéphane Delplace. Starting in September 2025, I will be studying with Zlata Chochieva at the Bern University of the Arts. You can listen to me on my YouTube channel (« Thierry Bloas-Saintmarc - Pianiste »): recordings of Beethoven, Haydn, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, Liszt... I'll be happy to answer any questions! I offer personalized lessons for children and adults. I'm open to your suggestions for pieces, your preferences, and the styles that suit you best! (Classical music, jazz, film music, pop, rock, etc.) Convinced of the importance of theoretical foundations (particularly music theory and harmony), it is possible to integrate them into the courses so that students develop with solid foundations. This then allows us to understand music in its entirety, around a rich and varied repertoire. Having also studied improvised music at the Paris Conservatory and being a musician in several groups, I would be happy to be able to share my experience around musical creation as well as in the development of improvisation. Anyone interested in the instrument and who would like to develop their keyboard skills is welcome, regardless of age. Looking forward to seeing you again and see you soon! A little more about my background: A graduate of the Paris Conservatory, I had the chance to work alongside many exciting pianists and teachers, such as Denis Pascal, Pascal Amoyel, Rena Shereshevskaya and in improvised music Paul Lay and Emil Spányi, who were able, throughout my career, to bring me into musical research and maintain this taste for the instrument. Being attracted by musical creation, as well as composition, I was also able to study harmony, arrangement, music theory and composition at the Rueil-Malmaison conservatory in the Paris region. Alongside my musical projects as a classical and jazz pianist and musical composition, I devote myself to my passion for educational transmission.

It was a pleasure studying classical piano with Xiang and i recommend him as a teacher for piano. Xiang gave me guidance on hand relaxation, horizontal movements, rhytm and other ways of practicing, scales tips, pedalling, fingering and general tips. over few months of (bi)weekly lessons, he gave me guidance on few Czerny pieces and Chopin etude 12 op 10. Xiang can “sight read” some Chopin etudes at the speed that takes me several week to practice, this was amazing and inspiring to observe!:)

Carole is a wonderful piano teacher. She makes an effort to get to know you and your knowledge of the piano and music theory so that she can give you the best experience of learning the instrument. She is very flexible when it comes to what you want to learn, if there is a piece of music you endeavour to learn, she'll do everything that you achieve it. I've just had my first lesson and I can't wait for the next ones.

I was really impressed by the lesson, Elene's style and how quickly she builds rapport. Elene is very approachable, fun and a warm person. My 4.5 year old daughter warmed up to Elene straight away and was playing along through the entire lesson. Thank you for the happy learning experience.
