Linking chords together smoothly, exploring different rhythms, correctly placing a melody, trying improvisation (jazz, blues, rock), developing finger playing techniques (classical or folk), are all elements at the heart of the learning. These are deepened by notions of music theory and/or music theory. My name is Flora, I am 24 years old, I am a specialized Master's student at the Royal Conservatory of Mons in Han Bin YOON's class, and I am doing a didactic master's degree in parallel. I obtained my master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Marie Hallynck and Francis Mourey. I began my musical apprenticeship in France where I studied in music school then in Paris, with David Louwerse, Philippe Bary and Raphaële Sémezis. All the passionate teachers I had made me want to give lessons too, because I love human contact and sharing my passion. I also really like chamber music! I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run.
