This ranges from learning the basics of the instrument to professional preparation for the entrance exams at music schools. It is personally important to me to adapt my lessons to the musical goals of my students so that they are always motivated and fun. I’m a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor and Masters degree in Australia as well as currently doing my another masters in the Leipzig Hochschule für Musik und Theater- Leipzig. I offer lessons in English as well as Korean. My teaching is very organised based as well as providing methodology instructions to students. The diverse positive effects of Musik have been repeatedly researched and published. Most of all however, it's simply a lot of fun! Whether you'd like to jam with friends around the fire, mess around with the guitar at home or master classical pieces, I am happy to offer guitar lessons on any level for any age. Over 15 years of experience with big bands, orchestras, ensembles and bands are offered on my side.

About the method: At first we always warm up with breathing and singing exercises to work on the technique and articulation. The duration of this depends on your experience and requirements. In the other part of the lesson we work on the respective piece. To me: I am the singer of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Choir and a musicologist. Classically trained, I can also sing jazz, soul and pop. In the past, I have performed as a soloist in the gospel choir, at city festivals, birthday parties, weddings and company events for years and continue to do so occasionally.

In this class, you are going to learn the fundamentals of creating original music, including Music theory, Motif Development, Rhythm, Structure, Orchestration, and Music Notation. During our classes, we are also going to explore different musical genres, analyze and finally put them into practice.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable.
