When you receive lessons from me, we will first listen calmly and focused to what the student wants to learn. But the most important thing I want to give the student is to enjoy making music. This can be in any genre, classical, jazz, pop songs or zooming deeper into theory. Improvisation is a big part of my lessons. In addition to fun, this often also provides a very good idea of what the student wants to say with the instrument. I see it as my challenge to convey my knowledge in a focused but relaxed way. I am currently still in the third year of my studies at the Conservatory in Utrecht. Here I am studying the Musician 3.0 course. This is a course aimed at improvising. There are no genres associated with this. I will also pay attention to this throughout the lessons, to give a small insight into what valuable things my study has to teach me.
