I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. NB: On average a student can acquire an A1 basic level in Russian in 6 months, this duration can be reduced if they take intensive courses. This class will introduce you to some building blocks for writing effective poetry. This will focus on imaginative and descriptive aspects of poetry, as opposed to technical and academic aspects. It also works for creative writing in general. However, it will specifically focus on some of the more playful and concise elements of poetry, as opposed to the structure and narrative of prose, for example. There are a lot of barriers and negative preconceptions around poetry which I am to dismantle - building confidence and making poetry feel fun, as opposed to fearful! Enthusiasm is more important to me than academic ability. I also welcome pupils who speak English as an additional language and will try my best to accommodate as many access needs as possible. For help with writing: The objective is above all to acquire effective tools. The student will thus be able to learn to structure his ideas, argue coherently (and convincingly) and enrich his vocabulary. It is essential for me to have written work from the student between each lesson. For analyzes of oral literary texts: In order to optimize the time available (and to put ourselves in conditions closest to oral exams), we choose together an extract from a work that the student will have previously prepared before the lesson. If necessary, I have the habit of taking a paragraph at random which would serve as a basis for analyzing a passage. For adults (FLE): In order to optimally prepare the first ones, I take the initiative to inform myself in advance of their objectives / expectations. Whether to practice speaking in everyday life, the professional world or to practice oral presentations, I prepare either PPT or technical sheets in advance that I send by mail ( after booking on the website). The other alternative is to make a PV of the course that I send (or that I print). Giving importance to keeping a written record on the one hand to better memorize the topics covered, on the other hand to better assimilate the spelling. Of a general nature, a concrete situation that responds to the learner's needs is the starting point. From this situation, I address the essential grammatical points.

I am a native-speaking french teacher, who has achieved a high 6 in IB french A level, self-taught. I tutor GCSE English Language and Literature. I am a 22 year old woman who lives in Manchester and I have a passion both for school and for teaching. I loved my time at school and worked very hard to get pretty much all A*s in my GCSEs and A Levels. While I was able to achieve great results it was not without a lot of hard work. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia very late into doing my GCSEs which was a shock. I felt like it explained the disparity I was experiencing through what I was able to produce verbally in class to what I was able to do in exams. However, I felt like it meant that I was just never going to get the grades that I desired. This was not the case. It simply forced me to learn other methods of learning the syllabus beyond mainstream teaching. When I was able to figure out how to do things in a more out of the box way I loved school and learning even more as it felt like it was more accessible to me. This has given me such an edge with my teaching now as I am able to teach the mainstream way of learning something while also dipping into my extensive tool box of methods that worked also for me. Since leaving school I have taken two teaching assistant positions at primary schools. I have also been apart of a Saturday homework club where I have helped children from the ages of 4-16 do their work. I loved this. I love helping people and love showing them that education can work for everyone. This tutoring group also led me to do more one to one tutoring sessions in GCSE History, RE, English Language and Literature. I am currently doing a Philosophy degree at the University of Manchester. While it is not English it is very literature and essay based so the skills that I have learnt are still used daily in my writing. My lessons are online but I do not find that it hinders the learning at all. In fact I believe it just makes it easier for all involved. (However, if you do live close by I am willing to commute). My typical lessons are very structured but informal, however, I change my lesson style depending on the needs of my students. Being dyslexic myself, but also working with many children with special needs, I am able to tailor towards anyones requirements. Look forward to hearing from you!

I offer careful proofreading, both in terms of content and form, of written work such as internship reports, senior work, end-of-study dissertations, dissertations, comments or reading sheets. I correct language errors: grammar, syntax, language register, spelling. I also suggest possibly bringing in other sources and rectifying the structure of the work if necessary.

I mainly teach math lessons from middle school to high school. Before starting the lessons, I need to get in touch with the student to know their level, the areas where they want to improve and their objectives. Depending on the level, I adapt the work seen in class to the different points of improvement and suggest exercises consistent with what the student is stuck on. At the same time, I go over point by point the elements that were not for the student (in the Ds and the questions) I rework the exercises seen in class. Finally, and this is the most important, I advise the student on his working methods, with what state of mind to approach the exercises. I can also provide homework help in subjects other than mathematics: I got 17 in the HEC philosophy exams and I didn't get below 18 in subjects such as SES, Philosophy and history in the BAC. I recommend at least one math lesson per week in order to take stock of the week; it is regularity that allows progress. As a Tutor at EDHEC I already have experience of courses with high schools. I am a calm, composed and educational person. In terms of math, I got 18 in my math baccalaureate and then I went to a HEC preparatory class at Louis-Le-Grand in advanced math where I had more than 12 hours of math per week.
