Playing music and expressing yourself through an instrument is something that everyone can do! I believe in music being an inclusive and attainable skill no matter your experience. I have a passion for both teaching and playing the bassoon and flute, and believe in creating a positive and exciting environment for students. I have 10+ years experience as a flute and bassoon tutor across multiple schools in Sydney and London, and have recently moved to Berlin. I am able to teach in English only. I work as a freelance bassoonist in London and Berlin, and have worked with major orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Berlin Philharmonic Karajan Akademie and the Orchestral of the Royal Opera House, London. I graduated with a Master’s degree from Guildhall School of music and drama, London. My teaching experience is extensive. I have taught students between the ages of 3-30. I have worked 1:1 with students, and have had lots of experience with groups of up to 40 students across many instruments. I have put many students through practical musical exams and highly encourage them if desired. My students have a 100% success rate in their exams. As I am currently a performer, teacher and student myself, I am very aware of the balance between hard work and having fun. I believe the best way to create a successful musical journey is through a positive and encouraging environment, where students can develop their skills and take risks without fear! I also take highly into account the individuality of students and their desires, so make sure to adjust my approach as suited. If you would like to learn the flute and/or bassoon just for fun, you are welcome. If you would like to further develop your musical skills, I offer lessons for competitions, school exams, as well as auditions in orchestras or conservatories.

Trusted teacher: Hello, My name is Kevin, and I am a passionate guitar player from Austin Texas, based here in Berlin. I grew up studying classical guitar and playing rock guitar (Austin is a great city for rock!) before studying Jazz at the prestigious Thornton School of Music at USC in Los Angeles. I have been performing since the age of six, with solo and group performances in various cities across America, including Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC. In addition to this, I have been teaching guitar for over 10 years. I am currently furthering my studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin focusing back on my first love, the classical guitar! As a teacher, my focus is always on the individual student: what are your specific passions, strengths, and weaknesses, and what are your goals? How can I tailor our lessons to get us there? How can we have fun? In addition to this, with all my students I work to cultivate a strong and reliable technical ability. A good technique is important. It lays a strong foundation for everything and gives you the tools to truly express yourself musically. I am happy to teach any style (except Reggae because... Nah just kidding) and all experience levels. Beginners are so very welcome! Here are some of my focuses: - Fingerstyle: classical and folk style - Plectrum style, strumming, and single note - Improvisation (and all of its many applications!) - Scales, chords, and arpeggios - Advanced application of music theory - Intuitive understanding of rhythm, along with odd time signatures - Ear training (identifying notes and chords simply by hearing them) - Music reading - Using equipment to craft tones for electric guitar (amps and effects) - Practical understanding of recording software, which is both a wonderful creative tool and vital for professional purposes. Trusted teacher: Ich bin eine professionelle Sängerin mit Studium an der Musikene, Musikhochschule in San Sebastián (Baskenland), wo ich im Juni 2016 meinen Bachelor absolviert habe. Vorher habe ich ein Diplom in modernem Gesang an der Música Creativa und in Musicals am Centro Superior de Artes Escénicas in Madrid erworben. Heute bin ich eine aktive Musikerin und gebe neben Konzerten auch Musikunterricht an verschiedenen Schule sowie privat. Eine der Schulen an der ich unterrichtet habe ist die Deutsche Schule Madrid. Außerdem habe ich gerade mein erstes Album Blue Tree veröffentlicht. Ab Oktober 2018 biete ich in Berlin Unterricht in den folgenden Disziplinen an: 1. Jazz – Pop – Soul Gesangsunterricht 2. Vorbereitung für Musikhochschulen 3. Klavierunterricht für Anfänger 4. Tonsatz, Harmonie und Improvisation Der Unterricht kann auf Spanisch, Deutsch oder Englisch stattfinden. Ich passe mich an das Niveau und Interesse (Stil, Repertoire usw.) jedes Schülers an. I am a professional jazz singer from Madrid. I studied in San Sebastian, where I obtained my Bachelor at Musikene music conservatoire in 2016. Previously I obtained a Modern Singdiplom at the Music School Musica Creativa and a Musical Diplom at the Centro Superior de Artes Escénicas in Madrid. Today, I am an active musician and next to concerts, I offer private lessons in different schools and at home. One of the schools, where I worked to get experience is the German School in Madrid. I also edited my first modern jazz album called Blue Tree. From October 2018 on I will offer the following lessons in Berlin: 1. Jazz-Pop-Soul singing lessons 2. Preparation for the entrance exam to the Jazz Institute 3. Piano lessons for beginners 4. Ear Training, Harmonie and Improvisation lessons Lessons can be held in Spanish, German or English and I adapt myself to the necessities and level (style, repertoire etc.) of each student.
