Dear music lover, As an experienced and certified cellist / orchestra musician from Lisboa, Portugal, with several years of teaching, I accompany children, beginners, adults and advanced students into their musical dream and future. I adapt myself individually to the wishes and needs of my students. My focus is not only the technichs and motor skills of the instrumental playing, but always trying to convey musical relationships. I offer private lessons on violin, viola and musical theorie for begginers and intermediate on all ages. In my class I focus on technical issues as well as repertoires in different styles and I'm also open to discuss or adapt this repertoire for student's request.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. Every student, who wants to learn music will have to learn Music Theory. This discipline is necessary to learn music instrument, voice, composition e.t.c. How ro read scores, what is rhythm and how to count, how to find a key of the piece and many other questions will be answered through this course. After this course, student will be ready to learn Solfeggio and then Music Harmony. After learning all these music disciplines, student will be ready to learn music form, polyphony, instrumentation, arrangement and composition.

Learning to play an instrument is an amazing skill to possess! I have been playing guitar for 12 years now and piano for 2 years. Playing instrument provides me with a hobby that is equal parts calming and fun, it brings joy to me and to others. It is best to start learning music at a young age however, it is never too late to pick up a new skill! I myself have recently tried learning the cello and it is exciting to say the least. I have many years experience tutoring and teaching both academically and musically. I have taught ages 4-15 years old in the past as well as having many years experience in customer service. I can teach chords, fingerstyles and plucking, full songs or melodies, in either tab form or standard music notation.
