I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

My name is Panagiotis and I am a guitar teacher/player. I have two bachelor degrees: Classical Guitar (Philippos Nakas Conservatory), Jazz&Pop Guitar (HKU Utrecht Conservatory). I have been teaching in music schools and giving individual lessons for the last 14 years. In 2017 I moved to Utrecht to continue my studies in jazz guitar at the Utrecht Conservatory and explore the Dutch music scene.I teach electric, acoustic, classical guitar and music theory. Besides the basic technique and theory knowledge, which Ι make sure to provide to each of my students , I individually prepare their study line, according to their taste and abilities. My goal is to help my students to find their own musicality and reveal their inner voice by giving them the most appropriate tools. Besides teaching I have two bands which I give lots of concerts with , at several venues and festivals.

1- A course in playing the oud for beginners, how to tune the instrument in an easy and simple way for beginners, and technical exercises for the plectrum and fingers and getting the correct sound from the instrument. 2- A course in Arabic singing and its principles accompanied by the oud Through five lessons, the student is able to learn two basic musical instruments, perform songs that suit the trainee’s voice, and learn some vocal techniques (Arabs) He played some simple songs on the oud It enables the singing student to understand the nature of his voice and its sound space, and to link singing with the correct pitch and the principles of playing the Oud instrument

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject. Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

Singing lessons for all levels and age. For beginners, together we can discover the range of your voice and build the breathing and singing technique. At the same time we will work on music theory, ear training and how to read a score. For mature singers, we can delve into the singing technique and interpretation and add pieces in your repertoire. The lessons are provided both online and in person and can be held in English or Greek. I also speak some Italian and German. About me I have been playing the piano for 15 years. I have studied Classical Singing in the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata (Greece) and I have followed a two-year Early Music Programme in Athens Conservatoire. At the same time I studied Music Theory (Harmony) at the Greek National Conservatoire from which I gained my Harmony degree. In addition, I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Here in The Netherlands, I finished my masters at the Utrechts Conservatorium and worked as a singer at the NKK NXT 2022-2023. I have participated in Operas (“Julius Cesar”- 2015 in Athens Concert Hall and “Alcina”-2019 in Odeon of Herodes Atticus) as a member of a vocal ensemble and I have also performed as a soloist in many concerts. Some of the stages I have performed are: Concertgebouw Amsterdam, TivoliVredenburg, Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg, Athens Concert Hall, Greek National Opera and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

Hi, I’m Heewon from South Korea and I currently study music in HKU Conservatory. For about 14 years I have studied various aspects of music, I’ve studied piano, vocals and composition, and now I am studying piano in the jazz and pop course. Not only have I played lots of jazz and pop, I have played lots of classical, neo-soul and gospel, to me it’s important to be well versed in lots of genre’s. How amazing is it to play the music that lives in your head? Piano is by no means difficult, it make’s for a great hobby and is a wonderful stress reliever. My class is open for people of all skill levels and is held in English or Korean. Essential parts of my lessons are: -Tailor-made lessons to suit your skill level and needs. *For beginners we’ll go through basic piano skills, basic music theory and reading sheet music. *If you're an intermediate, you'll be given a class that suits your level, needs and wishes. Hello there! My name is Vasilis and I am a jazz/rock/eastern traditional and classical guitar player, singer and songwriter currently studying as a 3rd year student in the Jazz and Pop guitar department of HKU conservatory. I am coming from Greece where I graduated from my first bachelor on classical guitar and the last three years I live, study, work and play in Utrecht. My teaching career started very early, 12 years ago when my classical guitar teacher let me teach my first student and since then I have worked in multiple music schools and in private lessons with students of every age. This year I also started giving my first band coaching group lessons. In my lessons I try to create a learning path that is formed arround the interests and taste of each student. Since I am a singer and songwriter the lessons can also focus on the creating part of music if of course the student is interested in that. I work with empathy and sensitivity arround the needs of each student. As for my playing career, I play with multiple bands on original songs of mine or covers in different venues and festivals in Europe. The genres differ between pop, jazz, rock, eastern traditional and blues so I can give a big variety of stylistic directions to each student. Last but not least, I am also a singer and because of my good performance in school, I was awarded from the HKU Conservatory the oportunity to follow the vocal curriculum of the school as well. So I can help you with singing too!

Learn guitar or develop more advanced approaches through active learning and creativity. Students will be playing music from the very first lesson, and acquiring foundational skills and theoretical knowledge through learning your favourite songs. Lessons are tailored to suit the tastes, aspirations and ability of the students. As an experienced performing musician with a PhD in music, I focus on ‘doing’ rather than ‘knowing’, whether that involves learning songs, developing improvisational techniques or songwriting. But most importantly, I make sure we play music together and have fun in the process.

Singing to me is the best feeling ever. Your entire body is moving and your head is totally empty of worries. You lose who you are and transform into a new person. One time you are a prince or princess, the other a warrior fighting a duel. Maybe you stare at a beautiful river or fall in love like never before. All of this and even crazier situations are material for songs. Singing is so much more than just notes, it is about using your fantasy and telling a story. I love this feeling so much that I want to share how you can experience all of this while singing. ​ In general, singing is a combination of technique (pitches and rhythm), posture, and breathing. Next to that, we have diction, acting, body language, expression, and joy! You sing because you like it! ​ Singing is for all ages, all levels, and I adapt my lessons to your level. Hi! My name is Marie and I study Jazz/Pop singing at the Utrecht Conservatory. In my lessons, we will show your strengths even more and explore what you need to overcome your vocal obstacles. Singing is something that everyone has and can develop. It's a unique way to express yourself creatively and tell a story and I want to ensure that in my classes. Every genre is welcome with me: Jazz and improvisation, Pop, R&B, Soul, Musical and Cabaret, you name it. Or do you want to learn to write music yourself? I can certainly help you with this as well. I also have the necessary theater experience with which I can teach you a lot about text interpretation and performance techniques. As a graduate classical pianist and also experienced Jazz musician (currently studying Jazz/Pop Piano in HKU), I can help you work your way around a variety of genres and repertoire in order to achieve your personal goals and express yourself through the art of playing the piano. I can also help singers that want to accompany themselves the most convenient way and also people that would like to use the piano as a tool to write their own music. I use both my own material of sheets and notes that I create specifically for each student, but also several books and a variety of methods. Some basic music theory is usually integrated to the piano lessons I give, in order to have a more complete understanding of the practical concepts but it could also be taught separately.
