I loved my first lesson. I particularly appreciated Faddoul's efforts to work out my learning style and assess my needs and interests. He very quickly understood my gaps and was very supportive. I found the review of basic techniques for holding the oud and using the risha very useful. I also liked the way Faddoul checked in with me before the lesson and followed up with materials after. Flexibility around the scheduling of our sessions is also very helpful. The introduction of a new scale, although challenging, made me feel like I had something new to work with ... so a sense of achievement too. Looking forward to lesson 2.
