Various homework exercises will be assigned to assess students' progress, with particular emphasis on grammar, syntax, and spelling. The goal is to help students expand their vocabulary and effectively use it to construct grammatically accurate phrases and sentences. To accommodate diverse learning styles, we will explore different teaching methods, such as listening to songs, watching YouTube videos and listening to Spotify podcasts, reading excerpts from Greek texts, and utilizing online teaching tools like Mentimeter and Quizlet. I am a native speaker of Greek. I graduated from a Greek high school and, later, the University of Athens where I attended courses in pedagogics, psychology, and linguistics. During our lessons, I'll help you develop your skills (oral/written, and not only). I'll also try to help you improve your pronunciation and spelling. I assign homework and after I receive it, correct it thoroughly additionally providing a lot of remarks/examples if they are necessary. I worked at a language center between 2009-2016 where I was a director of studies and taught mainly English as a foreign/second language. Since 2005, when I first started teaching Greek, I have taught children and adults on a variety of language proficiency levels, mainly individually. I constantly seek progress, meaning that I study further through reading books/articles concerning didactics/methodology and learning difficulties (chiefly dyslexia), observing other teachers as well as attending seminars (online or face-to-face).
