I have been playing classical piano for 14 years. Obviously a lot solo, but also in ensembles, as an accompanist for flutists, violinists, clarinetists and singers. I was also a paid rehearsal director and pianist for a music theater company for a while and I played concerts in an orchestra. More importantly, I also enjoy teaching! The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject. Hi there! I am Billy, a musician from Greece. I have been playing drums professionally for the last 10 years performing with great musicians in great venues and festivals all over the world. The last three years I have worked as a drum teacher in private lessons and music conservatories in Budapest (HU) and in Larissa (GR). I have studied Jazz Drumming in the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (2017-2020). The lessons are designed for all skill levels and cover any genre of music you would like to learn.

You will learn how to ornament and decorate the melody. Baroque music is a lot about ornamentation. Emphasis will be given of course on expression and musicality. A big part of the harpsichordists job is to play the basso continuo. This mean that you will learn to improvise instantly in given base lines.

My flute lessons are available in a flexible time frame from 30 minutes to 1 hour, with a frequency of weekly or biweekly, depending on your preference. As a graduated flutist with a bachelor and master degree from the conservatory, where teaching was an important part of my education, I have experience with both group lessons and individual lessons. In addition, I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Additional Activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. I love teaching guitar, and I am good at it. Learning music is similar to learning a language. We learn by imitating the sounds that we hear. During this stage, I also incorporate proper technique; how the instrument should be held and how the strings should be strummed or plucked. Once the sound is adequately imitated, we look at influences and start developing vocabulary. Finally, I want to ensure the student can replicate these precise sounds.
