I gave French as a foreign language lessons for about three years, to children and adults. After a two-year break, here I am back to start teaching French as a foreign language again. I speak several languages, and this taught me to understand how to learn a language. I know what non-French speakers go through, what process they have to go through in order to learn French. I adapt each time my way of teaching at the request of the student. I prefer to create the course with the student (if he or she also prefers it, of course) so that I can best meet the needs of the person I am teaching. Indeed, everyone has a different way of learning, understanding and retaining new things. It is therefore essential in my eyes to be able to adapt as much as possible to the student.
I do tutoring for primary and secondary students. However, I cannot help with science subjects for secondary school students. My father being Chilean, Spanish is my second language. Regarding English, I lived in England for a year where I took lessons. I also babysat children in Italy for several months, with whom I had to speak English constantly. I also have the First Certificate of English diploma. I took courses in a translation school for two years in English and Spanish. It allowed me to see in depth the grammar of these two languages and study them at a higher level. I gave French lessons for three years to non-French speakers. I try to find the method that corresponds to each one. Indeed, it is important for me to understand how the person to whom I am teaching works in order to best adapt my teaching. I don't think there's just one method, and imposing one on someone isn't productive for me.
I did tutoring for three years. After a long break in order to finish my studies as a specialized educator, I decided to resume. I can help primary school students in all subjects as well as secondary school students (but only for literary/language subjects). I studied at a translation school in English and Spanish as well as at a special education school. I lived in England for a year and my father is Chilean, so I speak Spanish perfectly. I also have the First Certificate of English diploma. I adapt my working methods according to the students and their needs. I find it essential to create the course with the student, so that my teaching is best suited to the person in front of me. Do not hesitate to contact me for more information and/or a meeting!
