The voice is the best instrument in the world (in my opinion) and it's right here in our bodies already! Learning to control and use our voices to their full potential is an amazing journey in physicality, emotion and confidence. I have been performing for 16 years, teaching for 5 and I have a degree in Musical Theatre from Dublin. During my training I was fascinated by the voice, the link between our bodies and our voices and how everything contributes to making our voice the way it is. The science of the voice is so fascinating! In training (and in life) there was a huge emphasis on acting through song. I was able to learn so many exercises to connect with music in different ways. In musical theatre without a story what's the point of a song? I cannot wait to dispel my knowledge onto others!
