Hello all, I am Juliette, doctor in health biology and holder of a master's degree in international cooperation and development. After a scientific baccalaureate with an SVT option, I continued to study biology at the University. I specialized in biochemistry, then in immunology, and I completed a thesis in fundamental biology on an HIV protein. I offer academic support courses at the middle school, high school and higher levels, as well as preparation for the baccalaureate. What I propose, depending on your level and your requirements (exams, school programs, etc.): - define together a program likely to meet your expectations - review and deepen the concepts seen in class, in particular the blocking points, if there are any. Find other angles and other supports to approach these notions. - take a quiz (or a kahoot) at the start of the course on the concepts seen previously - deepen the methodology and writing techniques. Sometimes pupils/students understand the concepts, but do not carry out the description and reasoning as expected, which penalizes them. - preparation for the baccalaureate: review of concepts seen throughout the year, completion of baccalaureate-type exercises. The first meeting, which consists of discussing your expectations and objectives, is free. Hope to meet you ! Juliette
Hello all, I am Juliette, Doctor in Health Biology and holder of a Master's degree in international cooperation. Passionate about foreign languages and intercultural exchanges, I am currently learning 2 languages on my own: Spanish and Russian. After having taken LV1 English in middle school and high school (18/20 at the baccalaureate), I continued to learn English through my travels (Europe, India) and my research activity (I carried out a thesis in biology). I have written scientific articles in English, and I speak English on a daily basis with my foreign partner. I am level B2/C1: I got 925/990 on the TOEIC in 2021. Regarding the courses I offer: I favor dialogue, listening and the acquisition of vocabulary in learning a language, but I can also work specifically on grammatical or conjugation points, particularly if there are expectations linked to school programs. Whatever the level of English targeted and the possible blocking points, I think that regular listening and practice are a sure way to anchor the good automatisms of the language in the long term. By hearing certain turns of phrase, certain grammatical notions will end up coming spontaneously to your mind when you write and express yourself. What I propose, depending on your level and your requirements (exams, school programs, etc.): - define together a program likely to meet your expectations - deliver the course in English (even if it means speaking slowly, translating certain words, and mixing English with French at the beginning). Abroad, language courses are taught in the language, and this quickly contributes to progress :) - vary the learning supports and angles: written, oral and listening. Ideally, a session will consist of all 3. - Establish with you, depending on your availability, a program to do independently during the week (watch a short video on Monday, listen to a podcast on Wednesday, read the news on Saturday, etc.) - gradually support you, if you wish, towards autonomy in learning this language. Looking forward to meeting you and speaking English with you! Juliette
