Welcome to the Philosophy course at all levels by Manon, a passionate philosophy teacher and holder of a Philosophy degree. General philosophy: This course covers a full range of topics in philosophy, from metaphysical questions to ethical problems, epistemology and political philosophy. We will explore major philosophical theories, major schools of thought, and influential philosophers who have shaped our understanding of the world. You will develop a critical and in-depth vision of these concepts. Preparation for the philosophy baccalaureate: If you are preparing to take the baccalaureate philosophy test, this course is designed to provide you with the tools necessary for your success. We will study specific exam requirements, review recurring themes and frequently asked questions, and practice text analysis and essay exercises. You will be guided through the different stages of the exam, giving you the means to develop a solid and structured argument. To familiarize yourself with the exam format and practice in a targeted manner, we will use a corpus including past philosophy exam topics. You will have the opportunity to practice explaining text and writing essays based on these topics. We will analyze the different approaches and key points of these topics together, to build your confidence and mastery of the exam requirements. Philosophy homework help: If you need additional assistance with your philosophy homework, this course is the perfect opportunity to receive individualized support. The essay is a key component of the philosophy exam. During this program, I will teach you the techniques necessary to construct a strong and coherent essay. You will learn to formulate a clear problem, structure your argument, use relevant examples and develop a convincing conclusion. We will also review the assessment criteria used during the exam in order to prepare you optimally. We will look in detail at the methodology of text explanation, which is an essential skill for the philosophy exam. You will learn to rigorously analyze philosophical texts, identify the main ideas, decipher arguments and grasp the subtleties of concepts. Through practical exercises, you will develop your skills in critical reading and interpretation of philosophical texts. I propose to give lessons on the method in order to best succeed in the final philosophy exam. Indeed, the most important thing is to understand the method of constructing your essay. Based on the courses and the concepts, together we will seek to write ideas and concepts in a "logical" way for the construction of the argument that is requested. In this course we will work on an in-depth analysis of four key texts to understand the changes that have taken place in contemporary philosophy and history, as well as their implications for current and future social life. We will understand the inseparable link between philosophy, history, knowledge and social conflict. If you are a very curious and dedicated student, I look forward to seeing you in this course that will be demanding and meticulous, but it could change your way of thinking for the better in a definitive way.

Master's student in physics at EPFL and literary at heart, I obtained the baccalaureate with very good honors (19.8/20 general average) and willingly help in learning the French language and its literature. , its philosophy and its culture if interested. I offer to give French help lessons for all levels, occasionally or regularly, possibly accompanied by a "French fika" because I love pastries (shortbread, lemon cake, apple pie...) :) I have previously given lessons to children. Having several young nephews and nieces and having regularly carried out baby sittings, I am used to supervising children. I can also help with English classes (after having lived for several months in Cambridge, England), mathematics, science or provide general academic support for homework help for children. I can receive at home, in a room reserved for the KTH library or give lessons by webcam. I can also move if the address is reachable by metro or bicycle. I am an enthusiastic educator with 4 years experience in teaching and tutoring. Being a native speaker of both English and German, I can help you improve your language skills starting at any level. I hold a degree in German Literature and Philosophy from the University of Oxford and have experience tutoring both subjects. For the past two years I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, preparing students to take their German GCSEs. I have done individual mentoring as well as small group interventions to help students with their specific needs. My pedagogy relies essentially on my students’ personal goals. I generally offer a free first session of around thirty to forty-five minutes to exchange with students and familiarise myself with their objectives, whether it be academic support for their schoolwork, a desire to deepen their knowledge of the subject, or simply to improve their conversation and writing skills for my language classes. The next classes last about an hour with the number and frequency of sessions depending on the student’s needs. I teach all levels from beginners up to A-levels and work online. A graduate of the University of Oxford, I offer tutoring up to undergraduate standard in philosophy, theology and religious studies, and up to A-Level standard in English literature. Students are guided carefully through relevant course material, and the structure of the lessons closely follows that of the Oxbridge tutorial system - an essay or essay plan is to be prepared as homework in advance of the meeting, and we will build on this and test the foundations of the essay in the lesson. We will work together through past papers if the student is preparing for exams. I can also help with university applications to Oxford/Cambridge. A keen tutor and researcher, I have strong foundations in the subjects I tutor, having studied Philosophy & Theology at Oxford University after achieving A*AA in my A-Levels and receiving the school prize for Religious Studies.
