Hello, I am Pablo García, a graduate in Philosophy from the University of Oviedo, holder of a master's degree in this field awarded by the universities of Oviedo, Salamanca and Valencia and I am currently a PhD student in Philosophy of Science at the University of Oviedo, and I am delighted to offer this online course to help those high school students who are having problems with this subject. The main objective of this class is to provide help to students who are having difficulties with this particular subject. From the pre-Socratics to the philosophers of suspicion, all the content required by the student will be taught, always in the most relaxed and friendly environment possible. In this course, you will learn things like the name and truth condition of logical connectives, distinguish well-formed propositions from ill-formed ones, solve low-intermediate level syllogisms, and much more. This course is designed for those who need a basic knowledge of the discipline due to academic requirements (such as in careers such as Philosophy or Programming), as well as for people who have a particular interest in it and want to learn from the most basic principles. Starting from pre-Socratic cosmogonies, up to the philosophers of postmodernity, such as Heidegger, Foucault or Derrida, it aims to teach the general lines of thought of the different authors who make up the history of philosophy, as well as the characteristics of philosophical thought corresponding to each specific period.
