To jump straight to the point, I love mathematics. But, it didn't always come easy to me. In third grade we were tested on the multiplication table and I received the lowest grade in my class. I still remember the shame I felt and I was asking myself how will I ever be good at this subject if I was already doing so poorly. Well, I am a walking example of it doesn't matter how you start, it only matters how you finish. I am now a doctor in Mathematics (obtained my PhD from EPFL in 2022) with over five years of teaching experience ranging from primary school pupils to university students. My secret? I taught myself how to learn. When people talk about mathematics they portray it as a mystical creature that is incomprehensible and untameable. In actuality, it is more like legos. With each bit of new knowledge you gain, you get to build these magnificent worlds of concepts, theorems and operations. I would love to build some lego structures with you. I am very passionate about my work and I have the patience and dedication to help you conquer any challenge you may face. As tutoring is such an individualistic practice, it will be tailored to you and your needs. The first lesson will be an introduction to one another and a way for me to familiarise myself with your math knowledge and issues. We will then decide on a tutoring plan and set goals. I am very flexible and my main priority is that you receive the support you need. If this sounds good to you, do not hesitate to get in touch. P.S.: I currently teach in English but I am actively working on my German competencies.
