Pupils Tutoring/class in math and physics

I offer private tutoring/classes (home work help, test preparation, in math and/or physics to pupils in secondary school up to preparation for university.
I excel at the following: Teaching - The fundamentals (from which one can understand and solve all the other problems) - Reason and logic (how to argue using mathematical language and knowing where to begin arguing) - Patterns of problem solving
 - I answer any „why“ till there is no more (at definition or observation) - Showing and explaining the relation between real world and mathematical language
 - In physics: making experiments either with your children, or we have the possibility of simulations and videos to get a feeling for the matter. I like to compare science reasoning and especially math to playing chess. The rules of the game are the fundamentals, which you need to start playing. Those you can use to play, to argue. Then one can develop skills and strategies to beat the opponent -> patterns of problem solving and using theorems like binomial formulas.

In chess the last „why“ one can ask is about the rules. Those are set -> Definitions and observations - and to reason in math we don’t need to go further. In physics it is always a question what is the observation where you can start with reasoning. For this I will need to know what is your curriculum and subjects you did already in your physics class.

Mathematical language is just another form of language. As one can think and imagine various different kinds of tables, when reading the words „table“, also mathematical formulas should bring images of things or actions in your mind. Even more so in Physics.
If this is not the case math becomes nothing more than a game. It can be an exciting one, but I think the most important aspect of math and sciences is how potent they are to solve problems and make our life nicer and easier. They can’t do that if there is no perceived relation between them and the world.

How can the Tutoring/class look like:
Your children can always come with question and homework problems to me, which we will solve together. Having in mind that the children should become self sufficient and confident and feel mostly comfortable doing math / or physics.
If I recognise that basics are missing I will adress them on the spot, but in order to setup a rigorous manner and plan to improve your children’s qualities efficiently and longterm I would need to charge sometimes additional time I need for preparation. (This I will always and only do with your knowledge and consent.)
I can also prepare whole classes designed for your children addressing its individuals problems. In this case we will also agree on some additional charge needed for the preparation. (About half an hour for most classes.)
Dear pupils, (parents) and students, I will help you to improve yourself and guide you to be more comfortable in your exam and your further math and physics rode. For pupils (6th grade - Graduation): - (final-) exam preparation (short-term help) We will, in the time available to you, find out the more essential content and skills you need to score higher, develop and improve them. (oral) exam simulation possible - Improvement of grade (long-term) In addition to your current problems, which arise in class, we try to fill gaps in the fundamentals so that your math and physics accomplishments become more effortless and you become more independent, so that less help is needed. Improvement becomes much, much easier and faster with occasional, increased lesson density: e.g. 2 x 45 min over 3 weeks during the holidays and otherwise quieter times. For students: The same applies to the students: However, my experience with most students sais 1 or 2 hours of tutoring per week results to be in in short-term learning mode, because the new content learned is so much more extensive. Either we can have more than 2 hours per week, or we can focus more on learning and working techniques so that you become more successful in your independent work. Content and classes where I can help you as a student: Maths: -Analysis (one-dimensional, multi-dimensional and complex) Sequences, series, limits, integral and differential calculus, ... - Linear Algebra Systems of equations, vectors, matrices, tensors, basis and transformations, - Differential equations Corresponds roughly to the first two/three semesters of mathematics education or all math content taught to natural scientists in the bachelor's program. Physics: All courses and content in the Bachelor of Physics and for natural scientists: Mechanics, electricity and electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, relativity theory, particle and atomic physics Theoretical and experimental. With yet one exception: Theoretical thermodynamics and statistics For further details and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Best regards, Robert L.
Dear pupils, (parents) and students, I will help you to improve yourself and guide you to be more comfortable in your exam and your further math and physics rode. For pupils (6th grade - Graduation): - Summercourse: If you know already your problems, we will start right away solving these. Otherwise and during that we will go through the basics and your important current topics and devise a plan to let you return better and lighter in the new school year. - (final-) exam preparation (short-term help) We will, in the time available to you, find out the more essential content and skills you need to score higher, develop and improve them. Summercourse: For Mathematicians and Physicists I do have exercises and more, so that you are able to autonomously engage yourself in important and new topics. I can give you introductions to the different contents, help you solving them, or just help you with arising questions. Furthermore, I can support you to make the transition from school to university easier for you by showing you new work ethics, tools and techniques. For Students after the 2 Semester, we will adapt the classes to your individual needs. Please write me a message to get this started. I will gladly help small groups. Very good
Very competent; Online lessons using Zoom are very efficient and pleasant; very good preparation for the online lessons; is prepared to remedy knowledge deficits, even at his own expense, and to share the newly acquired knowledge in the next lesson.

I definitely recommend Robert! He is a knowledgeable physics teacher.
The experience with Robert was great and I highly recommend him. The experience with Apprentus, however, was the opposite. If you want to try a single class, they charge you a "membership fee" that costs about the same as the class itself... If you want to avoid the membership fee you have to buy packages of 5 or 10 classes... These fees appear only once you have already been in touch with your teacher and you probably don't want to cancel your meeting anymore. Such hidden fees that appear only at the very end of the booking are anything but customer friendly... So my message is mixed: go for Robert, but not for Apprentus...
