With a master's degree in Language, Literature and Civilization of the English-Speaking World, I took a large number of courses in history, art history and of course languages, literature and translation during my studies at the universities of Cambridge, Edinburgh and Montpellier. This is why I offer courses in most of the literary and linguistic subjects taught in middle and high schools: Spanish (my mother tongue, which I have been teaching for years in private lessons), English (a language I have spoken for almost 15 years and which I taught in the national education system for a year), French, history and art history. All of these subjects fascinate me enormously and I want to pass this passion on to my students. It is entirely possible to combine several of these subjects, which are ultimately very linked to each other.
With a master's degree and having completed two Erasmus at the universities of Cambridge and Edinburgh, I offer courses open to students of all levels, whether middle school, high school or even undergraduate. Depending on the student's needs, these courses may take the form of homework help or the discovery of great works outside the curriculum that we will analyze together. The student will be introduced to various techniques of literary and stylistic analysis. In addition, each work studied may be placed in its historical, intellectual and artistic context. If necessary, we will also review the basics (review figures of speech using examples and exercises, for example). But above all, I will try to transmit my passion for literature to my students, so that they do not attend my classes out of obligation, with a view to obtaining better grades, but out of desire, to explore this subject in a much more in-depth way than courses in the school or university setting allow.
Flexible, I adapt to the needs and expectations of the student. Thus, the lessons can take the form of informal conversations or on the contrary offer a clear framework based on various exercises (grammar, phonetics, conjugation). I also like to rely on authentic documents allowing the student to discover the culture of the Spanish-speaking world (cinema, literature, painting, history, etc.) Spanish is my mother tongue and it is a great pleasure for me to teach it. My goal is to share this passion and help my students gain self-confidence.
After a master's degree, two years of Erasmus at the universities of Cambridge and Edinburgh, and years of experience as a private teacher and within the national education system, I wish to continue to transmit my passion for this language and its culture. Flexible, I adapt my lessons according to what the student and parents are looking for. Thus, the lessons can take the form of informal conversations or on the contrary follow a very clear trajectory punctuated by grammar and phonetics exercises, for example. I particularly like to rely on documents close to the student's interests and, if possible, allowing him to discover various aspects of the culture of the English-speaking world (cinema, painting, literature, history, etc.).
