I offer lessons to all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to those more advanced. Typical lessons last from 30 minutes to an hour. All of my lessons are tailored to meet the exact needs and preferences of my students, whether that's working towards their next graded exam, playing just for fun, and anything in between. I hold a first class honours degree in Classical Flute from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I studied with Ian Clarke and Philippa Davies, and won the Needlemaker's Woodwind Prize. After graduating in 2022, I was invited to become a Guildhall School Junior Fellow, specialising in Flute and Composition. As a freelance flautist, I have had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Concert Hall and the Southbank Centre. My performance experience encompasses a diverse range of settings, from live radio broadcasts to collaborations with dance and art installations, reflecting my versatility as a musician, and openness to help my students pursue their own personal journey, both within music and as an individual in general. In addition to my passion for the flute, I am also an accomplished composer with a portfolio of commissioned works premiering at renowned venues and exhibitions worldwide. Notable highlights include composing for Wessel Flutes, Berlin Fashion Week, Nxt Museum (Amsterdam), and Adidas Y-3. My work as a composer heavily influences my approach to teaching. Beyond emphasising technical proficiency and a solid grasp of music theory, I am dedicated to nurturing creativity in all of my students.

I love helping flutists of all levels set and achieve their goals. My teaching is focused on building a strong foundation of fundamental skills, getting curious about music and flute playing, and learning how we can tell our stories through music. A bit about me: Hailed by Gramophone as a “sensitive and virtuoso performer,” flutist Kaleb delights audiences with his commanding presence, brilliant technique, and thoughtful interpretations. Is an active solo and orchestral musician, and has performed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, and the Grammy Award winning Albany Symphony Orchestra. He appeared as a soloist and as the conductor of the Colorado Flute Orchestra at the 2017 National Flute Association convention. Awards and honors are First Prize at the Bruce Ekstrand Memorial Competition, The MPIMC Prize at the Marina Piccinini International Masterclass, Winner of the Tuesday Musical Association’s Competition, and Winner of the Baldwin Wallace Concerto Competition. He has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Baldwin Wallace Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dwight Oltman and twice with the University of Colorado Early Music ensemble, working with Music Directors Zachary Carrettin and Robert Hill. As a teacher and clinician, has been on the faculty of the Baldwin Wallace Community Music School and The Joyful Noise Neighborhood Music School. Received his Bachelor’s degree from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he was a graduate Teaching Assistant, member of the graduate woodwind quintet, and lead TA for the College of Music. His principal teachers include George Pope, Christina Jennings, Damian Bursill-Hall and Andrei Pidkivka. His other significant influences have been Brook Ferguson and Amy Porter. Debut album, Grieg: Violin Sonatas for Flute, with pianist Nathália Kato, is available from MSR Classics.

I teach the clarinet, flute and saxophone for more than 30 years and proudly can say that I helped to improve and gave a new professional path to the hundreds of students in US and overseas. I am holding a Master’s degree from St. Petersburg State Conservatory (Russia), where I studied clarinet and saxophone. St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where I picked up saxophone in addition to studying clarinet. Simultaneously, I worked as a principal clarinetist at the St.Peterburg Symphony Orchestra. Not long after, I won second place in the All-Union USSR Clarinet Competition. Upon graduating from the Conservatory, I worked as the principal clarinetist in Kiev’s State Opera House and soon after was offered a position as a clarinet and saxophone professor at my alma mater, Kiev State R.M. Gliere Higher College of Music. If you want to learn to play the clarinet, flute or saxophone - and more so if your daughter or son does - the most promising way is to find a good teacher and take lessons. Learning to play a musical instrument like the clarinet, flute or saxophone is more than an intellectual process, that you may manage by abstract learning. Very much alike when learning to play the instruments there are a lot of things (how to sit, hold the instrument, your embouchure, how to breathe and move relaxed, how to control a tone) to train simultaneously and these things ought to be checked. The beginning can be difficult, and you can do a lot of things really wrong (and get used to that). Especially for the first hours it is worth to have a good teacher. I am looking forward to teaching you music!

Flute ONLINE for everyone. Children to Adults. (English, Russian) (Ghent)
Anna
I might not know much about flute, but what I know is that if you want to learn it, Anna's your gal. She's fun, smart, punctual and really professional and, to top it off, a really good teacher. She is going to make you feel appraised for your smallest accomplishments (which will definitely help you evolve much faster than using any conventional book/online course etc.) and will find the sweet spot between theoretical concepts and fun, practical songs to keep you entertained. I myself had an internal kerfuffle and nearly quit after 2 weeks of trying to learn flute. But flute can be fun and entertaining, and Anna's teaching method is the proof to that lemma!
